Let me teach you what I know about street photography & post-processing.
It seems that everyone is a photographer these days. Like most things, some are better than others. Perhaps you aspire to be better. You could access countless online tutorials on the subject of photography. Many of these are very good and I watch them myself. But suppose you’re the kind of person who learns by doing and is looking to challenge yourself by discovering a new way to think about photography. I have two words for you, Street Photography. I’m talking about the making of intentional, creative, focused, and deliberate work that will allow you to develop your skills as a photographer and give you the confidence to be better at whatever area of photography interests you. Affordable instruction is tailored to meet your needs and desired goals. All instruction is done on an individual basis to maximize your learning experience.
This is what I’ve learned through street photography:
- How to compose and frame a shot before you even look into the camera.
- Know your camera so you don’t have to think about it.
- Seeking out the dark side. Learning to see and use shadows and light.
- Patience will be rewarded, wait for the moment to come to you.
- Every picture tells a story. It’s why people look at your work.
- Poorly made photographs don’t improve with age. Be a ruthless editor.
So maybe Street Photography isn’t your thing. I’d be the first to admit it’s an acquired taste. I built my tutoring business by focusing on post-processing, digital asset management, and teaching you how to master basic camera skills to enable you to make quality photographs. I can and will help you with any or all of that. So it’s up to you. Have a look at my work to get a feel for my style of street photography. Some of these photos are award winners.
